THE MAX Challenge of Springfield/Union and THE MAX Challenge of New Providence Recognized for Outstanding Community Service

THE MAX Challenge is proud to announce that the Springfield/Union and New Providence locations, owned by Amy Walsh and Allison DiMarzio, have been honored by both the Rotary Club of Union and the County of Union Department of Human Services for their exceptional commitment to community service. These recognitions highlight the significant impact of THE MAX Challenge’s efforts to support local families in need.

The Rotary Club of Union, in partnership with the Township of Union, hosted their 2nd Annual Networking for a Cause event, which was a remarkable success. This year’s event was dedicated to a family who faced a devastating loss when a 35-year-old mother passed away from cancer, leaving behind her husband, Sam and their two young children, ages three and five. The community showed an outpouring of support, with 130 attendees coming together to raise funds for Sam and his children.

During the event, a touching story was shared by Ann Michelle Lang, the preschool teacher to one of the children, who recounted how they would inflate a balloon, draw a heart on it, and send it to Mommy in heaven whenever the boy felt sad. The event also witnessed a heartfelt moment when a kindergarten girl handed over a dollar to the teacher, saying she had saved it to help “the little boy who was sad.”

THE MAX Challenge of Springfield/Union and THE MAX Challenge of New Providence played a crucial role in the success of this event, providing both financial support and heartfelt encouragement. Their contribution was instrumental in ensuring that Sam and his family received the help they needed during this difficult time.

Additionally, the County of Union Department of Human Services recognized THE MAX Challenge for its generous donation of $2,300 in ShopRite gift cards to support needy families within the community. This recognition underscores the organization’s unwavering commitment to making a positive difference.

Community service is a core value of THE MAX Challenge across all of their franchise locations, which, as a whole, have raised well over $1,000,000 through their annual Day of Giving which has been held since 2016. THE MAX Challenge believes in the power of community and is dedicated to giving back to those in need.

“We are deeply honored to receive these recognitions from the Rotary Club of Union and the County of Union Department of Human Services,” said Amy Walsh of THE MAX Challenge. “Our mission goes beyond fitness; it’s about transforming lives and supporting our community in every way possible.”
